Darby’s Dancers has come full circle since its beginnings in 2014. Darby Jones, our beloved figurehead of Darby’s Dancers, started her dancing and performing career in 2009 in the first performance group at Merrimack Hall in Huntsville, Alabama.  Since then, hundreds of dancers with physical and intellectual abilities are participating in dance studios all over the country in Darby’s honor.  “Dancing FOR Darby” is our theme throughout our studio families in 2021-2022.

We added a new studio to our organization in July 2021 in Huntsville, Alabama, Rhythms of Grace Dance Academy, located only 1.5 miles from Darby’s childhood home.  In August 2021, we added another new studio,

B-Well Dance Studio, in Merrimack, New Hampshire.  There is much history between the cotton mills in New Hampshire on the Merrimack River and the former Merrimack Mills in Huntsville.

We are thrilled to start the new dance season with all our dance studio partners here and abroad. We know Darby is smiling broadly and proudly, passing on her wishes of kindness, empathy, acceptance, and her commitment of love and generosity for all.  Welcome Darby’s Dancers!  Have a wonderful year!
