What do most teenage kids do on Friday nights?  Football games? Movies? Bowling with friends? Not for Rylie Schulberg and other teenage mentors at Premiere Dance Academy in Prior Lake, Minnesota!  Friday night is the time the Darby’s Dancers classes meet at Premiere and their loving and devoted volunteers are only too happy to be there with their special dancers.  Rylie was Owen’s mentor for many years and wouldn’t miss her time with him for anything else. The two became fast friends and continue that relationship today.  Rylie is in college now, studying to become a special education teacher.  She goes home to see Owen whenever she can.  His influence on her prompted her to choose a career which would allow her the opportunity to work with young people with differing abilities.  Well done, Rylie and Owen.  We are so proud of you!

Choose a career of working with people with diverse learning needs.  While visiting this group for their recital, Ms. Valerie witnessed their reunion and was so touched by Rylie’s enthusiasm and support for Owen. Our teen mentorship program is equally as impactful on our teens as the dane classes are on our special dancers.  Thanks, Rylie, for opening your heart and your future to kids like Owen.  May your friendship continue for many years to come.
